Why You Should Know Them:
Vice President and Editorial Director Lee Boudreaux began her career working for free at a small publisher called Longstreet Press while also working evenings at a Barnes and Noble. In her own words, she “decided to come to New York and take a crack at the publishing business and just ended up staying and staying and staying…” After several years at another publisher, Boudreaux was offered the opportunity to start her own imprint at Little, Brown.
Through her career, she’s shown that she’s willing to take risks on manuscripts that other editors have passed on, such as the 900-page The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, which sold over 300,000 copies and was chosen for Oprah’s Book Club. With her own imprint, Boudreaux has the freedom to explore those eclectic narratives and voices.
